The name of the City expressed a greeting, and at the same time a tempting invitation to visit the beauty of the place, to learn about the fascinating history of its civilization and the heady vitality of seaside resorts.
The first human settlements in the territory of Hello date back to about 60,000 years ago. As reflected in the findings of scrapers, limace, tips and bone fragments of Grotta Montani.

The City of Salve was founded, according to legend, by Roman centurion Salvius in 267 BC Subsequently magnification 'following the destruction of two ancient houses that stood nearby. Today, after the draining of the marshes of our coastline started in the '30s, the main attraction of the territory of Salve became its beaches: Pescoluse, Old Place, Torre Pali and Lido Marini , characterized by clear waters and golden sand beaches.
In 1628 the Salvesi bought an organ for the church. Work of masters Giovan Battista Olgiati from Como and Tommaso Mauro from Muro, body , now fully functional, the pride and joy of the whole community, appears to be the more 'ancient Apulia and the most 'oldest in Italy.
